Course Goal / Objective
Many diseases and pests cause damages of varying importance and rates in cultivated plants. Among these factors, phytoplasms, which have become increasingly important recently, have been studied in a limited way as virus- like and later in prokaryotes. However, the need to examine and teach phytoplasms in more detail, including important and destructive diseases that are subject to quarantine, has emerged and within the scope of this course, their characteristics, spread, diagnosis and combat issues will be given in detail.
Course Content
The importance, characteristics, diseases or damages they cause and their diagnosis, etiology, epidemiology and struggles of phytoplasms that are harmful in cultivation of cultivated plants will be discussed according to the weekly program.
