Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to have information about protein synthesis, transcription, translation, proteomics, catabolic processes related to proteins, metabolism of nitrogenous compounds, biochemical principles of metabolic pathways and excretion from the body, electrophoretic and chromatographic techniques, molecular weight determination methods, quantification of specific proteins.

Course Content

Protein synthesis, transcription, translation, proteomics, catabolic processes related to proteins, classification of amino acids according to degradation products, metabolism of non-protein nitrogenous compounds, formation processes of nitrogenous compounds such as ammonia, creatine, urea and nucleotides, function in metabolic pathways and excretion from the body. principles, electrophoretic separation methods, molecular weight determination methods, purification processes with chromatographic techniques, specific protein level measurement analysis.
