Course Goal / Objective
To teach mathematical modeling and optimization techniques. To demonstrate the ability to apply these techniques in the field of Textile and Apparel.

Definition of optimization and concepts, Mathematical modeling for optimization, optimization techniques used in certainty and uncertainty, Optimization techniques used in single-purpose and multipurpose situations, Linear Programming, Nonlinear Programming, Goal programming, Techniques used for line balancing, Optimization with Artificial Neural Networks, Optimization with fuzzy logic, optimization with TOPSIS, application examples in textile and apparel
