Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to investigate the physical phenomena from astronomical objects by examining the electromagnetic fields.

Course Content

Electromagnetic radiation, photoelectric effect, Compton event, black body radiation, Bohr hydrogen atom, Russel Saunders interaction, term symbols, microenergy levels, basic state term symbols, energy levels of terms, spectral transitions and selection rules, Atomic behavior of atoms, X lights fluorescence spectrum, X lights photoelectron spectrum Auger, spectroscopy, UV visible region spectrum
