Course Goal / Objective
To understand the physical structure and electrical properties of semiconductor materials. Mastering the basic concepts and equations of semiconductor device analysis and applying them to the definition of semiconductor junctions and structures. To derive terminal characteristics of diodes, bipolar transistors and field-effect transistors from device construction and material properties.
Course Content
In-depth examination of semiconductor devices. To explore, the physics of semiconductors, p-n junction diodes, bipolar transistors, Schottky barriers, JFETs, MOSFETs and beyond CMOS devices.
