Course Goal / Objective

Basic principles of corrosion, definition, selection of artifacts, speed of corrosion; Electrochemical events, Electrochemical thermodynamics of corrosion, Corrosion in aqueous solutions, Pourbaix Charts, Potential-pH diagrams for some important metals, Corrosion and electrochemical kinetics and applications, Types of Corrosion, General Corrosion, Galvanic and metal pair corrosion, crack corrosion, pit corrosion, grains To introduce corrosion, selective abrasion, hydrogen diffusion into metals, hydrogen damage, fatigue and corrosion fatigue, friction corrosion, erosion corrosion, hollow damage.

Course Content
