Course Goal / Objective

It will be tried to reflect the changing political outlook in the historical process through classical texts. It is aimed to to explain how political thinking is shaped in the Western world through the analysis of these works.

Course Content

The course will be divided into two parts. The first part examines a time period starting from the Ancient Greek thinkers to the middle of the 15th century emphasizing on the changes in the political philosophy considering historical process. Best forms of government, politico-religious relations and political virtues are among the main topics of the course.

The course has no prerequisites.
