Course Goal / Objective
There is a product of culture that every social era embodies itself. Cinema is the most important cultural product that embodies the consciousness of the modern industrial era. In this context, the aim of this course is to reveal the theoretical relations of cinema's witnessing culture and the embodying of cinema culture. To discuss the change of cinema with the cultural changes, the relationship between cinema and culture.
Course Content
Mass society, mass production, leisure phenomenon, social types, surveillance society, The society of spectacle, capitalism, utopia, dystopia, alienation, post truth, post humanism in the context of the relationship between cinema and modernity.
