Course Goal / Objective

With this course, it is aimed that the student will be able to comprehend the accuracy measures used in the evaluation of diagnostic tests and to compare these measures using appropriate methods and interpret the results.

Course Content

This course covers the accuracy measures used in the evaluation of diagnostic tests used frequently in medical decision making (such as sensitivity, specificity, PPD, NPD, area under the curve), designing a study to evaluate the diagnostic test according to the measurement scale, evaluating the diagnostic test with data obtained from a single sample, and comparing the evaluation criteria of two diagnostic tests. .
