Course Goal / Objective
In the lesson "Lipid Metabolism in Aquatic Organisms", the metabolic processes of organisms living in aquatic environments from the uptake of lipids to their storage will be examined. Lipid uptake and digestion, absorption and transport, energy production through beta oxidation, lipid storage and its structural role will be among the main topics. In this course, the importance of lipids in terms of energy production, nutrition, structural components and homeostasis of aquatic organisms will be emphasized.
Course Content
How the Lipid Metabolism occurs in Aquatic animals will be covered week by week.
Course Precondition
Resources
Current articles on lipid metabolism and organic chemistry books
