Course Goal / Objective

Structure, function and signal transmission characteristics of environmental nerves during degeneration and regeneration

Course Content

Structure, properties and classification of environmental nerves, properties of myelin sheath, properties of nodal, juxta paranodal and internodal regions and distribution of ion channels in these regions, nerve degeneration and regeneration, properties of nerve conduction during regeneration, compound membrane and action potentials, compound action potential recording techniques, Calculate compound action potential by establishing a model, Homework1,2,3,4, Sokroz-gap model and potential calculation, sucrose-gap technique, voltage-clamped sucrose gap, final exam
