Course Goal / Objective
It is aimed to comprehend the basic principles of soil mechanics.
Course Content
Formation of soils, basic physical properties of soils, classification of soils, grain size distribution (granulometry) curve, consistency limits, classification systems, solutions to problems related to the subject, soil compression, bearing capacity, safe bearing capacity, soil safety stress, simple bearing capacity calculations, settlements ground improvements
