Course Goal / Objective

Defines Carbohydrates in fruit trees (soluble sugars, storage polysaccharides) and their properties, transport, carbohydrate pool in plants, storage-consumption of carbohydrates and interactions between them; the effects of biotic and abiotic factors on these relationships, the relationship between carbohydrates and vegetative growth, carbohydrate - efficiency relations.

Course Content

To provide theoretical and practical knowledge about how carbohydrate metabolism affects plant growth and fruit yield in fruit trees and how it can be directed.
