Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the basic knowledge about the importance of material science to the physics department students in today's technology

Course Content

Atomic structure and atomic arrangement, Crystal structures, Amorphous structure, Solid Solutions, atomic movements and atomic diffusion, phase transformations and phase diagrams, electrical, optical, magnetic and thermal properties of materials, metals, ceramics, composite materials, economic, environmental and social issues in materials science and engineering
