Course Goal / Objective
To learn the concepts of astronomy, To recognize the importance of knowing the sky, to know technological innovations related to space science
Course Content
In this course, Night sky, Scales and Dimensions, Constellations, Earth, Sun and Solar system, Astronomy catalogues, Observations at visible frequencies, Optical telescopes, Photometric concepts and luminosities, Gravitation and Kepler's Laws, Stars, Stellar spectrum and Classification, Radiation from Celestial Bodies. ; Topics such as continuous radiation, absorption and emission line spectrum, star structure, star formation and star evolution, and compact objects are covered.
