Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach basic botany knowledge and usage areas to first year students.

Course Content

In this course, botany and its sub-branches, differences between plants and animals, chemical compounds of plants; structure, shape, functions of plant cells; vegetative tissues, primary and secondary meristems; continuous tissues, protective tissue, basic tissue, support tissue, conduction tissue, secretory tissue; vegetative organs, root, stem, leaf; generative organs, flowers, fruits, seeds; general characteristics of large plant groups (Algae, Fungi, Mosses, Ferns, Seed plants); Growth, development and movement events in plants are processed.
