Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the student what Biotechnology is, its development, the place of Biotechnology in our daily life, the applications carried out in this field and the future goals.
Course Content
In this course, what is Biotechnology, Biotechnology and its history, Environment and energy biotechnology, Wastewater treatment techniques and applications, Compost and biogas production from solid waste, Biocells, Ethanol methanol and hydrogen production from biomass, Bioremediation, bioleaching, biosensors, Microbial biotechnology, Microbial enzyme biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology and its application areas: transgenic plant production, animal biotechnology, cloning, transgenic animal production, use of transgenic animals as bioreactors, production of human antibodies, pharmaceutical biotechnology, monoclonal antibodies, diagnostic kits, vaccines, food biotechnology, bioprocess technology.
