Course Goal / Objective
Aquatic ecosystems will be defined, all kinds of pollution factors will be identified and the effects of these pollutants on aquatic organisms will be examined
Course Content
Introduction to aquatic toxicology, Bioavailability of toxic substances in aquatic systems, Path and kinetics of toxic substance uptake Toxicokinetics, Biotransformation, Mechanisms of toxicity, Reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress, target organ toxicity, Exposure assessment and modeling in the aquatic environment, Toxicity studies constitute the content of this course.
