Course Learning Outcomes

Order Course Learning Outcomes
LO01 Defines and recognizes the morphological characteristics of soils and soil horizons in the field.
LO02 Evaluates some of the physical and chemical properties of soils determined in the laboratory in terms of soil formation and classification.
LO03 Knows the factors forming soils and their effects on soil formation and predicts which soils can be formed under certain environmental conditions.
LO04 Understands and explains the soil formation processes that occur in a certain formation process in the soil profile and determines its relationship with soil properties.
LO05 Knows the basic principles and types of soil classification systems.
LO06 Knows mainly Soil Taxonomy and 1938 soil classification systems and determines the Taxonomic class of soils using these classification systems.
