Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the law applicable to private law relations with a foreign element, the international jurisdiction of Turkish courts, the recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions, Turkish citizenship law, the legal status of a foreigner in Turkey.
Course Content
General principles of private international law, legal transactions and their regime in private international law, conflict of laws rules, international procedural law; general principles of international procedural law, international jurisdiction of Turkish courts, recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions, recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.
