Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to introduce students to fundamental human rights and the protections provided by the European Convention on Human Rights.
Course Content
The concept of human rights and other similar concepts. General characteristics of human rights. Classification of human rights. Regime of limitation of fundamental rights and freedoms Protection of human rights Judicial and non-judicial Protection mechanisms The role of the Constitutional Court in protecting human rights. The role of the European Court of Human Rights in protecting human rights. Examples of negative status rights Examples of positive status rights Examples of active status rights.
