Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to teach the development of methodological issues in economics. Besides, basic scientific concepts, schools and approaches related to economics will be told.

Course Content

In this course the birth of natural and social sciences, basic concepts, main definitions and theories of science, the methodological issues in social sciences, especially in economics, will be explained. Influential scientists like Kopernik, Bacon, Descartes and Newton's views will be told. Regarding Scottish Enlightment Adam Smith's self regulating social system vision will be explained.
