Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to introduce students to stem cell biology and cellular therapy methods in veterinary medicine, raising awareness of clinical applications and ethical aspects in this field. The course covers the biological properties of stem cells, methods of obtaining them, genetic modification technologies, laboratory techniques, and cellular therapy approaches used in veterinary medicine.

Course Content

This course comprehensively covers the biology and classification of stem cells, the characteristics of embryonic and adult stem cells, the applications of mesenchymal stem cells in veterinary medicine, stem cell isolation and characterization, genetic modification techniques and gene therapies, cellular therapy protocols and clinical applications, bioreactors and laboratory cultivation of stem cells, and ethical and legal regulations in cellular therapies, providing an in-depth understanding of stem cell and cellular therapy methods in veterinary medicine.
