Course Goal / Objective
To comprehend the behavior and basic principles of reinforced concrete. To provide a basic understanding for the analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures. To define concrete and reinforced concrete structural elements, to explain the relevant regulations and calculation methods, and to gain the ability to solve the problems they may encounter in agricultural structure design.
Course Content
Introduction and history, mechanical properties of concrete and reinforcement, concrete-reinforcement adherence. Concept of concrete and reinforced concrete, concrete and reinforced concrete structural elements, related regulations and calculation methods, problems that may be encountered in agricultural structure design. Reinforced concrete behavior and basic principles for calculation, building safety. Elements under the influence of axial force, bearing capacity of elements under the influence of simple bending.
