Course Goal / Objective
Introducing the basic properties of matter
Course Content
Drude and Sommerfeld models, Solution of Schrödinger's equation in solids, adiabatic approach, single electron approximation, periodic structure in solids, effective mass, free electron approximation, semiconductors and their electronic and optical properties, effects of magnetic field in solids, Landau levels.
