Course Goal / Objective

Defines science and scientific knowledge. Explains the functions of scientific knowledge. Interprets the purposes of scientific knowledge. Explains the stages of a scientific research. Recognizes the characteristics of the research problem. Explains the characteristics of quantitative and qualitative research approaches. Compares quantitative and qualitative research approaches. Recognizes data collection tools. Data collection tools Compares according to research purposes. Recognizes data analysis techniques. Gains knowledge and equipment to interpret a scientific research and design and perform a small research. Examines and interprets a scientific research. Designs a small scientific research. Performs the research he has designed. recognizes. Pays attention to ethical rules in his research. He develops a positive attitude towards science and scientific research.
