Course Goal / Objective
Identifying the text problems which damage the credibility of the hadiths; Introduction to the literature and studies conducted in this field; Understanding the principles of text critisizm via examples and using these principles on Hadith texts.
Course Content
The main sources of Hadith literature; formation stages of Hadith Literature; Hıfz (memorizing), Kitabet (clerical work) and the first written sources of hadith. Works classified according to their narrators and topics.
