Course Goal / Objective
To enable graduate students to learn qualitative research techniques and to analyze the data they collect when they use this method in their research.
Course Content
Information and examples about qualitative research techniques, qualitative research-based research project planning in mathematics education, characteristics and types of qualitative research (phenomenology, theory building, ethnography, case study, action research) are included. It covers the planning of qualitative research, the creation of research questions, data collection methods, validity and reliability, data analysis and the use of qualitative research results.
