Course Goal / Objective

Basic concepts of students' curriculums, curriculum approach, content, skills that it aims to develop; learn and apply the basic features such as learning and sub-learning areas

Course Content

In the content of this course, the basic concepts related to curricula will be discussed and the development of secondary school mathematics curricula from past to present will be examined. The approach, content and the skills that the current middle school mathematics curriculum aims to develop will be emphasized. Within the scope of the course, learning and sub-learning areas, the distribution and limits of achievements according to grades and their relationship with other courses will be evaluated. In addition, the connections of the middle school mathematics curriculum with the primary and high school mathematics curricula will be discussed, and the methods, techniques, tools and materials used in the curriculum will be discussed. Assessment-evaluation approach and teacher competencies are also among the important topics of the course.
