Course Goal / Objective

To develop pre-service teachers' learning of different art criticism models and their ability to apply these models to contemporary art works.

Course Content

This course includes activities and lessons to develop critical thinking by examining works of art within the framework of art theories, interpreting and evaluating the work of art orally and in writing. In addition, students are encouraged to develop their philosophical thoughts on contemporary art works. It includes emphasizing the place and importance of art criticism in visual arts education.
