Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the chemical structure and physical properties of Lipids.
Course Content
Definition and functions of lipids, Classification of lipids, Digestion and absorption of lipids, Blood lipids and lipoproteins, Transport and storage of lipids, Bile acids, Oxidation of fatty acids, Ketone bodies, Biosynthesis of lipids, Effect of hormones on lipid metabolism, Liver and lipid metabolism, Separation and analysis of lipids The topics constitute the content of this course.
