Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to enable them to have information about the basic concepts of toxicology and acute and chronic toxicity in the context of entomology, to comprehend the factors affecting toxicity, to have information about toxicity tests and to interpret the toxicity data of insecticide and acaricides.

Course Content

Based on the insecticides and acaricides used in the chemical control of economically important insects and mites, their classification and general characteristics, their mechanisms and modes of action in the target species, the entry routes of insecticides and acaricides into the insect body, the formation of resistance to insecticides and acaricides used against insects and mites, their causes and physiology and their adverse effects on beneficial fauna and the environment

Course Precondition

There is no prerequisite for this course.
