Course Goal / Objective
To understand 18th, 19th and 20th centuries the general characteristics of Ottoman Turkish, goes beyond the classical grammar information about Ottoman Turkish

General characteristics of 18th century Turkish, general characteristics of 19th century Turkish, galatat books, Lugat-ı müvellide, language debates in Tanzimat period, General characteristics of 20th century Turkish: New Language Movement, The transition to the Latin alphabet from the Arabic alphabet.
