Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed that the student will be able to comprehend the formation and change of the arts created in prehistoric periods and Early Age civilizations in social, intellectual, political, economic and geographical dimensions, and learn the development processes of civilizations in art and architecture.

Course Content

Prehistoric Arts, Paleolithic Period, Mesolithic and Neolithic Period arts, Ancient Arts, Mesopotamia (Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, Assyria), Egypt, the Aegean (Crete and Mycenae), Anatolia (Hittites, Phrygian, Urartu), Greek, Etruscan and Rome architecture and arts
