Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide knowledge, skills and competencies through theoretical and practical studies on furniture design.
Course Content
Furniture-furniture, furniture-user, furniture-space relationship. User and function factor in furniture design. Factors affecting furniture design. Structure types in furniture design. Proportion-ratio, fullness-emptiness, and organization of forms in furniture design. Aesthetics, technology, ergonomics in furniture design. Evaluation of furniture designs with form, material, color, texture and application studies.
