Course Goal / Objective
To achieve the fundamental knowledge on vehicles, to analyze circuit modelling of different fuel cell systems,to understand different energy storage technologies and working principles
Course Content
The basics of vehicle performance, power source characteristics, transmission characteristics, and equations used to describe vehicle performance,the major operating characteristics of different heat engines, electric vehicles design,hybrid electric vehicles design,induction motor drives,dc motor drives,switched reluctance motor drives,hybrid electric drive train design,different energy storage technologies,fuel cell vehicles,fuel cell hybrid electric drive train design,vehicular regenerative braking system,integrated system design and energy management of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles,integration of electric vehicles with a smart grid
