Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the cultural basins of Islam; the scholars who grew up in these basins; the scientific institutions established; the level of science produced in these scientific institutions; the works written; the schooling in the cities; the pauses or breaks that emerged as a result of political events; the effects of geographical features on the minds of scholars; the interaction between cultural basins; the routes of scientific travels.
Course Content
Islamic geography, Islamic cities, cultural basins of cities, scholars who grew up in these basins; established scientific institutions; the level of science produced in these scientific institutions; some works written; schooling in cities; pauses or breaks as a result of political events; the effects of geographical features on the minds of scholars; interaction between cultural basins; the routes of scientific travels are taught.
