Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to introduce general concepts, structures and production principles of fabric surfaces, help students understand woven design techniques and technical projection, learn complex weaving methods and production techniques, learn the structural design methods of basic woven fabrics, learn design methods of colored woven fabrics.
Course Content
Basic Weaving Technique.Simple and Derivative Textures. Normal Fabrics. Colored Fabrics. Complex Woven Fabrics; Extra weft, extra warp and extra weft and warp structures. Weft Reinforced, Warp Reinforced Structures. Multi-layer Structures.Complex Structures created on Special looms; Jacquard Woven Fabrics, Rotating Heddle System Fabrics, Woven Fabrics.Carpet Weaving, Three Axis Weaving. Narrow weaving. Three-dimensional Weaving.Necessary Plans and Preparations for Weaving.

It is beneficial to have prior knowledge or ideas from pre-course lecture notes and various sources and/or the internet.
