Course Goal / Objective
To introduce pneumatic systems and system components, to teach force, speed, working pressure and air consumption calculations of pneumatic cylinders, to teach analysis and circuit design of pneumatic systems at project level, to give information about the use of pneumatic systems in weaving functions and auxiliary mechanisms, the use of pneumatic systems in weaving preparation machines To provide information about the compressed air production and distribution systems in weaving enterprises, to provide information on research and/or application-based information sharing and application skills on the determined subjects.
Course Content
General structures of pneumatic systems, circuit elements, circuit drawing and reading the circuit. Piston forces, velocity, buckling, working pressure, flow rate and air consumption calculations. Determination of pneumatic cylinder dimensions. Electropneumatic systems and electropneumatic circuit elements. The use of pneumatic systems in weaving functions (shedding, weft insertion, pitching) and auxiliary functions, design criteria and application examples. Use of pneumatic systems in weaving preparation machines. Compressed air production and distribution systems in weaving companies.
