Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students the impact of sports on the media, how it shapes social perceptions through the media and how communication is used as a strategic tool in sports organizations.

Course Content

The content of this course covers the basic concepts and importance of communication and public relations, types of communication, effective communication skills, the importance of communication in sports, the relationship between sports and media, the positive and negative effects of media on the development of sports, sports and social media, the effects of social media on today's sports ecosystem, gender analysis of sports media, sports media, advertising and sponsorship.
