Course Goal / Objective
Giving basic concepts about material properties and introducing some building materials. It is aimed to teach the production and usage areas of materials such as natural stone, wood, terracotta building materials, concrete.
Course Content
Classification of materials; Physical, mechanical and technological properties of materials; natural building stones and their usage in buildings; baked earth materials; Cementitius materials (cement, gypsum, lime) ; Concrete; Special concretes; Concrete unites.
