Course Goal / Objective

To teach the importance of gene cloning, methods, agricultural and industrial applications to the students.

Course Content

The importance and purpose of gene cloning in prokaryotic organisms, DNA isolation from cell, identification of the gene to be cloned, identification of the organism for gene transfer, viruses, phages, plasmids, DNA transformation into the viable cell, determination of cloned gene in the target cell, purification of the clone, practical applications.
