Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to introduce required theoretical knowledge and cognitive awareness about all dimensions of the human being in order to communicate effectively with his own ego, other individuals and environment. - To create a strong awareness on having a healthy communication with him/herself which is a prerequisite for healthy communication with other people and his/her physical, social and cultural environment. - To introduce invaluable self-knowledge on temperament and personality patterns. Making decisions based on options fit their temperament patterns which is essential to live in a fulfilled and happy way in their professional and private life. - Tomake the graduates aware and evaluate both legal issues and ethical responsibilities in professional activities. - To increase awareness of professional and ethical responsibilities. - To understand the impact of engineering decision in local and global scale and perspectives. - To introduce the principles of engineering ethics and to enrich ethical based problem solving skills on fuzzy situations.
Course Content
Introducing required theoretical knowledge and cognitive awareness about all dimensions of the human being in order to communicate effectively with his own ego, other individuals and environment. Building up a strong awareness on being healthy communication with him/herself is prerequisite for healthy communication with other people and his/her physical, social and cultural environment. Multiple differential dimensions of self-communication based on seven layers of human nature. The sides of changeable and unchangeable of human being. Concepts of ethics and the importance in human life. Ethical theories and models. Ethical standards and global principles. Description of engineering ethics. Conscientious and integrity and responsibility in engineering activities. Social impact of engineering activities. Ethical principles of engineering association. Enrichment of ethical based problem solving skills on fuzzy situations.
