Course Goal / Objective

To gain knowledge about the formation of internal and external events of the earth.

Course Content

Introduction, Earths structure its physical, chemical and dynamic characteristics the relationship of the interior and outer structures of the earth with regional tectonic events, inner and outer dynamics, diastrofism and its theories. Plate tectonics its origin and continental drifting, how mantle leads to plate tectonics geological events (faulting, seafloor spreading, volcanoes, earthquakes, mountain building), oceanic basins.

Course Learning Outcomes

Order Course Learning Outcomes
LO01 Knows the deformation style of the earth.
LO02 Knows the origin of the structures formed on the earth crust related with plate tectonics.
LO03 Know the physical, chemical and dynamic properties of the place.
LO04 By detecting plate boundaries in the earth's crust, it can recognize earthquake zones that are expected to develop along these boundaries.
