Course Goal / Objective
The course aims to teach the fundamental principles of fabric manipulation and digital printing techniques, and to integrate them with artistic designs. By examining artistic approaches in textile and fashion design, it enables students to develop their own artistic designs related to digital printing and fabric manipulation. Covering topics such as the use of digital printing in fashion and interior design, pattern design and development, material manipulation, collection creation, advanced fabric manipulation techniques, and project presentations, it ensures that students gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
Course Content
The course content encompasses theoretical and practical applications of the fundamental principles of fabric manipulation, examination of the basic principles of artistic design, analysis of examples related to the use of digital printing in fashion and interior design, pattern design and development processes, creation of collections and thematic design applications, examination and application of advanced fabric manipulation techniques in fashion and interior design, as well as the student project development process and project presentations. Students will develop their own artistic designs related to digital printing and fabric manipulation while gaining knowledge about the use of digital printing in fashion and interior design.
