Course Goal / Objective
Examining the new trends and concepts in today's art within the historical integrity of art, analyzing their relations with social, political and economic phenomena, and thus enabling students to correctly position their original works within contemporary art theories and practices.
Course Content
In this course, which covers contemporary art and its creative practices, the phenomena that shaped art in the period from the 1960s to the 2000s; wars, technological, political and cultural transformations and important examples of changing art will be discussed. In this process, students will discuss important art issues by interpreting visual examples, verbally and in writing.
