Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the basic and advanced concepts of pledge law, especially movable and immovable pledges, and to provide a practical examination of pledge rights within the framework of Turkish Code of Obligations, Turkish Civil Code and other relevant legislation.
Course Content
This course deals with movable and immovable pledge rights and pledge transactions on receivables and other rights within the framework of the Turkish Civil Code, Turkish Code of Obligations, Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law and related legislation. The legal processes regarding the establishment, validity, functioning, termination and dispute resolution of the pledge right will be examined in detail. In addition, current case law on pledge law and comparative law perspective will also be evaluated.
