Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to define the phenomenon of religion, religiosity and spirituality and to distinguish the dimensions and types of religiosity.It also aims to enable the students to recognize the relationship between religiosity and psychosocial adjustment and to Look at the relationship between religion and mental health objectively.

Course Content

The course covers the concepts of religiosity and spirituality, dimensions of religiosity, types of religiosity and influence of religiosity on individual and social life. It also deals with theories concerning religious behaviour, theories related to the relationship between religiosity-mental health and the results of studies about the relationship between religiosity-mental health.
