Course Goal / Objective

In this period when visual communication is constantly changing its form and continuing its existence in new environments, the field of graphic design needs to adapt to this change. Within the scope of the course, it is aimed to examine this change in terms of both technology and form-content relationship and to examine the change and development created by interdisciplinary interaction in the field of graphic design.

Course Content

Communication and new environments in visual communication. Technological changes in graphic design. The effects of different disciplines on the field. Communication trends and their effects on graphic design. Examining and researching the field of graphic design in every aspect. It consists of academic studies such as problem-solution presentation and graphic design application in order to identify, examine, discuss and develop solution suggestions for the problems of visual communication.

LO05 It is aimed that the student will be able to perceive and interpret the forms of visual communication correctly within the framework of the factors affecting and directing the visual perception, the principles of perception, forms of visual communication, indicators, the effects of physical conditions on communication.
LO06 To identify problems encountered in graphic design applications and experiences, to develop solutions.
