Course Goal / Objective

To teach machine and mechanical elements, calculation, shaping and usage of mechanical elements, standarts, tolerance and quality of mechanical elements. Giving students sufficent knowledge to choose the right element for various constructions and evaluation of applications of mechanical elements in mining machines. To give information related to equipments that are used in Mining Applications.

Introduction to Machine Elements and Definitions/ Calculations For Strength Of Materials/ Tolerance/ Connection Components; Clinch Bolt, Weld, Screw Bolt, Shaft-Pounch/ Shafts And Axles/ Impermeandable Components/ Geared Wheel/ Belt Pulley Mechanisms/ Chained Mechanisms/ Rope And Joint/ Couplings/ Brakes / Equipments used in Mining / Equipments used in Opencast Mining / Equipments used in Underground Mining / Equipments used in Mineral Processing
